Dr. Lawrence Tinker,
Vice President Licensing and Technology Development, with 26 years experience in the energy technology industry. Prior to joining RBC, Dr. Tinker was Vice President of Advanced Technology and later President at AER Energy Resources Inc., a public company, working on zinc air batteries. Dr. Tinker was responsible for R&D, product development, intellectual property, and corporate management. He managed the development of an intellectual property portfolio of over fifty US Patents and more than twenty-five foreign patents. He also contributed to two technology-licensing agreements and managed several ongoing development and evaluation programs with external customers and licensees. He is the author of twenty-three publications and holds thirteen patents.
Dr. Ramesh Kainthla,
Vice President Research & Development, with 20 years experience conducting and supervising research in electrochemistry with RBC and at Texas A&M University. Dr. Kainthla is a founding principal of RBC, responsible for much of the fundamental work on rechargeable zinc alkaline technology (RZA). Dr. Kainthla received his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India in 1980 for work on chemical deposition and characterization of semiconducting thin films used in conversion of solar energy to electricity. From 1980-1989 he conducted and supervised research work on various electrochemical problems, including photovoltaic and photoelectrochemical devices, corrosion of materials, electrode processes, and ex-situ/in-situ techniques for the study of electrode solution interface. Dr. Kainthla has published more than 36 research papers in scientific journal and has 4 patents to his credit.
Robert D. Altabet,
Business Development Associate Mr. Altabet assists RBC in commercialization and strategic partnering for technology that is developed. Mr. Altabet spent over twenty years at Duracell demonstrating strong senior management skills in strategic marketing and business planning, new product development, market research and sales forecasting. He has experience as an executive through all phases of the business cycle bringing valuable perspectives on management in today’s unusual business environment. He also negotiated technology licensing with companies owning patents in areas of interest to Duracell. Mr. Altabet holds a B.S. degree in Economics & Mathematics, from the City College of New York and completed M.B.A. coursework in Operations Research, at Bernard Baruch College, NY.
