Facilities
RBC’s College Station, Texas research and development facility encompasses more than 7,000 square feet of laboratory and office space. RBC has the full development capabilities to support the design, processing and testing of a wide range of materials and devices including semi-automated prototyping facilities suitable for small-scale production. RBC’s laboratory facilities are in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
The RBC engineering department is equipped with Solidworks 3D design drafting software that allows engineers to quickly visualize new prototypes resulting in better-engineered products. RBC has the capabilities to machine parts in house and to assemble equipment needed for our ongoing research. The RBC workshop is equipped with a milling machine, lathe, and surface grinder, drill presses, tooling and gauge equipment. Complex parts in specialty materials are produced at external machine shops.
The Company also makes use of the analytical and workshop services provided by Texas A&M University, and The University of Texas at Austin. Some of the facilities used include Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Electron Diffraction Spectroscopy (EDS), porosity measurements, particle size distribution, dry boxes and calorimeters. Local analytical and testing companies are also used.
